Makeup can be placed into compartment or divider boxes then placed into the various drawers. They can be organized by Brand, Colour, Type, Usefulness etc. Perhaps everyday makeup can be stored in the drawers that are easily accessible and the extra ones may be stored in drawers further down below. This is an example of makeup stored in compartment dividers then placed into the drawers neatly:

If you don't want to or don't have a lot of money to invest in makeup storage this is a perfect method for you. These containers or similar may be found at your local Department Store's Home Section. If you already have built-in shelves or a cupboard with empty shelves, they can be placed there for easily retrieval and since they are clear, you can tell what contents are inside of them.

This is the best option if you are pressed for space. Although saving on space, a major disadvantage is that not many stuff may be able to fit in it. It is most suitable for smaller and lighter items such as powders and blushes. The heavier stuff such as your foundation makes it a not so good choice for that purpose. Therefore you may need additional storage for storing your foundation and other liquid makeup.
